Stretchy summer staples (with Very)

Right now I'm in that ‘in between’ stage where I would rather avoid jeans, want comfort and style but also something that can expand as the days or weeks go on… not much has changed then!

Stretchy waist band skirts or dresses with trainers have been my recent ‘go to’ style which has been perfect for this time of year and to be honest give me a nudge to break the habit of wearing jeans everyday.

Thankfully the temperature has finally started to increase as I can’t handle the cold and will still sneakily hit the heat on every so often in June so I’ve still been layering with a leather jacket, denim jacket or mac coat for the days there’s still a chill in the air.

This black and orange midi skirt has a loose fit and elasticated waist band and is easy to wear with camis, a jumper or plain tee. I loved this tee with the delicate slogan at the neckline that says ‘you are magical’ and teamed perfectly with the skirt. I sized up in this skirt and know it will be roomy enough to get the wear out of but also due to the shape and elasticated waist next year it should still be a great shape on too.

This is my favorite outfit though and it has been worn a lot already. It may be black but I am calling it my spring staple and ‘fuss free’ outfit. That’s the best about dresses, it’s a full outfit in one and takes minimal thought. This stretchy ribbed dress with button detailing on one side and long sleeves is so flattering but also perfect for a growing bump too. I have no idea how I managed to snap get this angle but I think before 9am and a bit of breathing in helped but I’ve definitely popped since.

I have always loved a trusty old pair of Converse and recently updated my old grey and well worn pair so am now enjoying bright white trainers while it lasts. Very also stock Converse and they can be found here.
